, - Former University of Cincinnati men's soccer captain Tim Brown earned his eighth international cap against the world's top team, playing in 24 minutes of 's 4-0 loss to on Sunday, June 4, at the Stade de Geneve in .
Brown entered the match in the 66th minute and gave the Kiwis their best scoring opportunity, flipping a header over the crossbar in the final minutes.
Brown took the pitch with such world-class stars as Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Roberto Carlos. The match was the final tune-up for before the start of the 2006 World Cup, which opens on June 9 in .
Brown has played professionally for the last two seasons with the Richmond Kickers of the United Soccer Leagues. In 2005, Brown started all 30 matches, logging over 2,700 minutes, scoring twice and adding two assists while leading the Kickers to the USL Championship Match.
