MILWAUKEE---After helping their team to a runner-up finish, University of Cincinnati sophomore Jaime Frey (Cincinnati, Ohio/Roger Bacon) and junior Jessie Nevitt (Kennesaw, Ga./Kennesaw Mountain) have been named to Panther Invitational all-Tournament Team. The pair were instrumental in the Bearcats posting a 2-1 record for the weekend.

Frey, UC's starting libero, had a huge defensive weekend, averaging 6.45 digs per game. She finished each of the three matches with at least 15 digs and set a Panther Invitational record with 35 digs in UC's loss to Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The 35 digs in five games were just two shy of a Cincinnati school record of which Frey already holds.

Nevitt was a dominate force in the middle, finishing the event with averages of 4.73 kills and 1.73 blocks per game, while hitting .444. Against Bradley in the tournament opener, Nevitt matched her career-high with 21 kills on .571 hitting and added seven blocks. She finished the UWM match with a season-best nine blocks.

UC is back in action this week, hosting No. 2 Stanford on Wednesday (Sept. 12) in Fifth Third Arena. The contest, which features the highest-ranked foe ever to visit Cincinnati will get underway at 7:30 p.m.
