Bearcats Sports Weekly With Brian Kelly presented by the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Honda Dealers, a weekly half-hour show on the University of Cincinnati football team will debut tomorrow (Thursday, Sept. 10) on FOX Sports Ohio at 6 p.m.
UC fans will hear from coach Kelly as he breaks down the win over Rutgers and previews Southeast Missouri State. FOX Sports Ohio will also go one-on-one with linebacker Andre Revels and offensive tackle Jeff Linkenbach.
The No. 23 Bearcats (1-0) opened up the season with a 47-15 win over BIG EAST Conference foe Rutgers on Labor Day in Piscataway, N.J. Quarterback Tony Pike was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week after throwing for a career high 362 yards and three touchdowns.
UC is the first BIG EAST Conference team to enter the rankings in 2009. The Bearcats closed out the 2008 season ranked No. 17 in both the AP and USA Today Coaches Polls.
The show is hosted by Tom Gelehrter, the University of Cincinnati's Manager of New Media and Broadcasting and a 2002 graduate of Syracuse University. Gelehrter has worked for the past nine years as a college sports broadcaster at Cincinnati, The University of Akron and Syracuse University. A Cleveland native, Gelehrter serves as sideline reporter for UC football broadcasts on 700-WLW and is the play-by-play voice for women's basketball.
