ESPN Highlights: First Take | ESPN.com Chat | Scott Van Pelt Show
University of Cincinnati head football coach Butch Jones spent Friday, Aug. 6 in Bristol, Conn. at ESPN making several appearances on various platforms through the ESPN family of networks.
After a 10:30 arrival and a quick trip to makeup, Jones was on set for ESPN First Take with Dana Jacobson. After that segment, Coach Jones did a live radio interview with the ESPN station in Pittsburgh and then took part in a live online chat on ESPN.com
Following lunch in the world famous ESPN Cafeteria, with ESPN College Football executives and reporter Joe Schad, Jones taped a podcast with senior writer Ivan Maisel for the ESPNU College Football Podcast which will be available next week.
From there it was back to a different studio where Coach Jones taped a segment of College Football Live with Erik Kuselias and Trevor Matich.
After a brief tour of the Sportscenter set, it was off to a studio across the hall where the Scott Van Pelt show is taped. Coach Jones presented Van Pelt and co-host Ryen Russillo with a UC helmet for their TV set.
Jones closed out the day by taping a segment that will air later on ESPNU previewing the season for the Bearcats.
UC, the two-time defending BIG EAST Conference Champions, will open up fall practice Monday afternoon at Nippert Stadium. The Bearcats open the 2010 season on Saturday, Sept. 4 at Fresno State. Kickoff is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on ESPN2. UC will open the home schedule on Sept. 11 against Indiana State at noon inside Nippert Stadium.
