CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics announced plans Monday that will allow UCATS members and season ticket holders to participate in an optional seat selection process for the two UC football games that are scheduled to be played at Paul Brown Stadium in 2011.
2011 football season ticket holders will have the ability to opt into a seat selection process for both the Louisville and West Virginia games being played at Paul Brown Stadium.
Each patron who opts into this process will be given a designated day and time in which they will be contacted by UC's new Customer Service Center allowing each individual to personally select open seats for these games.
All seat allocations will be based upon UCATS annual giving tiers first, and then priority points within each tier. Increasing your giving level to the next tier (above the required minimum for your season tickets) is the best way to make an immediate impact on your Paul Brown Stadium ticket allocation.
A comprehensive collection of information regarding the seat allocation process, timetables and stadium overview will be available at GoBEARCATS.com and UCATS.net.
If a patron chooses to not participate in the seat selection process his or her seats will be allocated (in the best available seats) based upon the UCATS annual giving tier and priority points in the appropriate priority order within all seat selection participants. The deadline to submit your request to participate in the PBS seat selection process is April 22.
To assist in the seat selection process, UC will play host to a pair of open house events at PBS to allow patrons to gain a better understanding of available seating options, including club and lower bowl seats.
These open houses are scheduled for Monday, April 25 and Tuesday, April 26 for all UCATS members, season ticket holders, and prospective season ticket holders. Both events will take place in the Paul Brown Stadium Club Lounges and will showcase the many amenities of the club seats while providing patrons the opportunity to experience seating locations in the lower bowl.
Head Football Coach Butch Jones will be on hand to share some inside information on the upcoming season and UCATS and Athletics Ticket Office representatives will be on hand to articulate the protocol for all Paul Brown Stadium seat allocations.
Specific details regarding the Open Houses will be available shortly and will be distributed via email and posted on GoBEARCATS.com and UCATS.net.
To register for either the April 25 or 26 Open House, please click HERE and submit your registration. Pre-registration is not required for the event as both events are free and open to all guests.
As a reminder, the deadline for all Paul Brown Stadium seat request forms is April 22.
The Bearcats return 18 starters from the 2010 squad, including unanimous First-Team All-BIG EAST quarterback Zach Collaros (Steubenville, Ohio/Steubenville), as well as a trio of Second-Team All-BIG EAST honorees in running back Isaiah Pead (Columbus, Ohio/Eastmoor Academy), linebacker J.K. Schaffer (Cincinnati, Ohio/LaSalle), and wide receiver D.J. Woods (Strongsville, Ohio/Strongsville).
UC opened spring practice on March 28, and will practice three to four times a week leading up to Bearcat Bowl V on April 16 and the close of spring football on April 23.
