The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics Bearcats Caravan continued its way around the city this past weekend at The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens, for their "Visitor Appreciation Day" on August 6, 2011. As a "Thank You" Zoo visitors of all ages enjoyed half price admission and parking the entire weekend. The UC athletics marketing team was on site from 10am-2pm to answer any questions about UC athletics and pass out promotional items.
Congratulations to Ed Menkhaus for winning two free tickets to the season opener against Austin Peay Saturday, September 3rd, through the UC business card drop raffle. Anyone who registered for the raffle also received a UC light switch cover. UC fans were out in force as we had a record number of entries, with well over a hundred names signing up. UC Blue Ash College held their reunion day for alumni as well, boosting the Bearcat spirit in attendance even more.
"It was great to see all the kids with Bearcat tattoos and the upbeat attitude about the upcoming football and basketball seasons," said Hunter Hampton of the UC Athletics Marketing Team.

The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics Bearcats Caravan will make its next stop at the Northwest Health & Safety Fair this Wednesday, August 10, 2011. The event will be held from 10 am-2 pm at the Northwest High School cafeteria. Students and parents who attend the event will get information about how they can stay healthy during the upcoming school year by meeting with doctors and dentists from the area.
The Bearcats Caravan team will be on site to hand out promotional materials such as schedule cards, Kids Club flyers and tattoos to students and answer any questions they have about UC athletics. The marketing team will partner up with GameWorks, who will pass out goodie bags and coupons to the kids and parents.
