The University of Cincinnati swimming and diving program has announced its schedule for the 2018-19 season.
The season will unofficially begin with the annual red versus black meet when the Bearcats will race each other to prepare for competition. That will be held in the newly-renovated Keating Aquatic Center on UC's campus Friday, September 28.
Indianapolis will come to Cincinnati on Friday, October 5 to officially start the 2018-19 season. That meet will be a part of Homecoming and Alumni Weekend for the Bearcats.
UC will then travel for a two-day meet at Akron (October 12-13) before returning home to host Miami (OH) for parents' weekend on Saturday, November 10.
The fall semester continues with the House of Champions Invitational hosted by IUPUI (November 16-18) and concludes with the US Winter Nationals in Greensboro, N.C. (November 28-December 1) and the Miami Invitational in Oxford, Ohio (November 29-December 1).
After winter break, the Bearcats will host rival Xavier at Keating Aquatic Center on Saturday, January 12. UC will travel for back-to-back meets Saturday, January 19 and Friday, January 25. The former weekend will take UC to Virginia Tech to compete against James Madison, George Washington and the host Hokies. The latter will be a dual meet at Kenyon College.
The regular season will end with two meets at home. Northwestern will visit on Saturday, January 26. Kentucky will come to town for Senior Day on Friday, February 1.
The men's program will look to repeat as American Athletic Conference champions while the women's team will look to improve from their runner-up position at the AAC Championships set to begin February 27 in Indianapolis. The postseason continues with NCAA Zone Diving Championships in West Lafayette, Ind. (March 14-16), NCAA Women's Championships in Austin, Texas (March 20-23) and NCAA Men's Championships also in Austin, Texas (March 27-30).
