CINCINNATI -- The University of Cincinnati women's golf team is headed to the Peach State this week for its sixth and final event of the fall season, battling in the Mercer Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.
The two-day event will take place at the Brickyard Country Club, a par-72, 6,171-yard course with 36 holes Monday and the final 18 Tuesday.
Participating teams include Delaware, Charleston Southern, Georgia Southern, Mercer, Kennesaw State, Georgia State, Lamar, Seminole State and Samford. The team also competed in the Idle Hour Collegiate in November 2019, but on a different course in town.
Katie Hallinan, Sadie Pan, Paighton Masterson, Alexis Daniel and Erin Evans will represent on the scorecard, with Makenna Jones and Julia Rabadam competing individually.
The Bearcats competed in a match-play event with Xavier last weekend and finished ninth in the Ozarks National Invitational (Oct. 18-20) in their previous action. The team's 300 to begin play was their lowest round of the season, eventually matching a season-low 922 as well. Hallinan led with a 29th-place finish and owns the team's best stroke percentage at 76.55. Sadie Pan follows with a 77.00, helped largely by a fifth-place finish at Toledo's Rocket Classic that serves as one of three top-five finishes by the Bearcats this season.
