CINCINNATI -- Cincinnati graduate student guard David DeJulius earned a spot on the AAC's Weekly Honor Roll following his performance in Saturday's Crosstown Shootout.
DeJulius scored 17 of his 22 points in the second half against Xavier, including a bank-shot, four-point play with 11 seconds left to tie the game. With 22 points, it was his fifth 20-point game of the season and 17 for his career. It was UC's first loss out of his five-such games this year. His 41.5 percent clip (third in AAC) from deep this year is 11.5 percent higher than his previous year, and more than double what he had in 2020-21, while his 16.7 ppg is sixth.
DeJulius was also the AAC's first Player of the Week this season, which was his first-such honor from the league. He was a Third-Team All-Conference selection last year and a Preseason Second-Teamer this year.
Cincinnati (6-4) hosts Miami (Ohio) on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
