// SET BREAKDOWN
Set 1: UC, 25-20
• The Bearcats opened the match by taking a lead and the Bobcats coming right back to tie the match. UC eventually would lead, 4-2, after a pair of points in a row before TSU posted two kills and two service aces to take its first lead of the match at 6-4. From there, the Bearcats worked their way back into the set and scored three in a row to build a 9-7 lead, a lead they would not relinquish. The Bearcats built their lead to as many as six after running off three points in a row thanks to two Muldrow kills and a block by Muldrow and Nolan. The first set came to a close with UC leading, 24-20, and Maya Eller setting up Nolan for the final kill and a 25-20 set victory.
• Tingelhoff already had 11 assists through the first set and was halfway to her double-double with five digs as well. Stamatiou led the Bearcats with four kills in the opener while Muldrow tallied three and both Elly Ogle and Nolan posted two. Eller recorded four digs in the back row while five Bearcats combined for four blocks.
Set 2: TSU, 25-23
• The second set started similarly to the first as the Bobcats would take a one-point lead before the Bearcats would tie the score. With the score at 2-2, TSU went on a three-point run, its first of five such runs in the set, and eventually built a 14-7 lead. But, UC fought back and strung together a five-point run of its own to pull to within two (14-12). From there, the Bobcats posted a pair of three-point runs to open the lead back to six points (20-14) before UC responded with another five-point run to claw back into the set at 20-19. The Bearcats would eventually tie the score twice, including at 21 and 22, but a kill and then a block from TSU put the Bobcats on top for good as they would win, 25-23.
• Jasmine Jones hit a perfect 1.000 in the set as she killed all four of her attempts while adding a solo block to her credit. Nolan led all players with five kills while both Muldrow and Stamatiou each added three. Tingelhoff increased her assist total by 12 in the set while she and Emily Azzara each added a service ace.
Set 3: UC, 25-18
• With the match tied at 1-1 coming out of the break, both teams kept it close as the match was tied five times through the first 10 points. With the score at 5-5, the Bearcats tallied four points in a row and didn't look back as they also had a three-point and four-point run to build a nine-point lead at 19-10. TSU would rally back with a pair of three-point runs, but would get no closer than 21-16 as UC closed out the set with a big block from Jones and Nolan to seal a 25-18 score.
• For the third set in a row, Tingelhoff increased her assist output as she handed out 13 in the set while also chipping in a pair of service aces. Nolan led the way with four kills with Muldrow and Ogle each adding three. Similar to the first set, UC recorded four more blocks with Muldrow having a hand three.
Set 4: TSU, 25-20
• The fourth set saw the Bobcats jump out to a 4-0 lead, a lead they would hold the rest of the way. TSU added a three-point run to make it 7-2 before UC began to work its way back into the set. The Bearcats went on a three-point run to cut the lead to 7-5 and, after several back and forth in the scoring, would climb to 11-9. But, TSU responded with a seven-point run that put the Bobcats in front, 18-9. A four-point UC run made it 19-14 before TSU would eventually close out the set, 25-20, and force the deciding fifth set.
• Nolan had her highest set output of the day in the fourth as she killed eight attempts and added a trio of digs. Tingelhoff added nine assists and four digs while Maya Eller picked up five more digs as well.
