CINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati swimmer Josh Schneider earned the top seed in the 50-yard freestyle at the 2010 NCAA Men's Swimming & Diving Championship, set to take place from March 25-27 at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion on the campus of the Ohio State University in Columbus.

His seed time of 19.08, also a UC, meet, and pool record clocking, was set during the preliminaries at the recent BIG EAST Conference Championships at Pittsburgh's Trees Pool.

Schneider, a two-time Honorable Mention all-America selection at the NCAA meet, will swim in three events at the meet for the second-consecutive year. He is the No. 9 seed in the 100 butterfly (46.44) and is seeded No. 11 in the 100 freestyle (43.00).

The senior won three individual league titles (50 free, 100 free, 100 fly), setting UC, meet, and pool records in all three events and was named the BIG EAST Men's Swimmer of the Year for the second-straight season. He was also an all-BIG EAST selection for the third-straight year.
