CINCINNATI – Former University of Cincinnati men’s basketball player Pete Mickeal and his FC Barcelona Regal squad will take on the Dallas Mavericks in an NBA exhibition game on NBA TV Tuesday at 2 p.m.
Mickeal, who helped lead Barcelona to the 2010 Euroleague title while averaging 12.0 points and 5.1 rebounds, played two seasons at UC (1999-2000) helping the Bearcats claim two Conference USA regular-season championships and make two NCAA Tournament appearances while compiling a 56-10 record.
Mickeal averaged 14.9 points and 7.2 rebounds during the 1999 season as UC advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament and finished with a 27-6 record. He was also a member of the 2000 squad that was ranked No. 1 most of the season and finished with a 29-4 record after advancing to the NCAA Tournament second round. Mickeal averaged 13.5 points and 6.3 rebounds in 2000.
