Bearcats Ink JUCO Transfer Florence Sifa

CINCINNATI – Junior College transfer Florence Sifa (Bujumbura, Burundi/Jacksonville College) has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to join the University of Cincinnati women's basketball team.

CINCINNATI – Junior College transfer Florence Sifa (Bujumbura, Burundi/Jacksonville College) has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to join the University of Cincinnati women's basketball team.
 
Coming to UC from Jacksonville College in Jacksonville, Texas, Sifa averaged 17.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game in 2017-18.
 
"I am excited to announce the addition of Florence Sifa to our Bearcats Family," said UC head coach Michelle Clark-Heard. "She is a long and athletic wing that has had a successful two-year career at Jacksonville College. Florence is a tremendous finisher at the rim and has a great deal of international playing experience. She brings us an added dimension and I look forward to having her join our team."
 
The 5-foot-9 wing brings an impressive resume to Cincinnati as a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XIV All-Conference honoree as well as an All-Academic awardee. In addition, Sifa represented her home country on the Burundian national team during the Women's Africa Championship Cup.    
 
Sifa earned an Associate of Science degree at Jacksonville College and will pursue degrees in Information Technology or Computer Engineering at UC.
