University of Cincinnati's Jordan Thompson continues to be one of the best players in the nation as the U.S. Women's National Team selected her for its 2019 Tokyo Women's Volleyball Qualification Tournament roster.

Thompson is one of 14 players that will help Team USA secure a bid to the 2020 Olympic Games. The tournament will be held August 2-4 in Shreveport-Bossier City, Louisiana. The Bearcats' star player made a name for herself on the national stage earlier this summer by helping the US capture the Volleyball Nations League title.

The Tokyo Women's Volleyball Qualification Tournament features the top 24 teams, minus host Japan, that will compete in six pools in a round-robin format. The winners of the pools will receive a berth in next summer's Olympic Games. The final five spots into the Olympics will be decided in January via five confederation zonal championships. The U.S. Women's National Team is currently ranked No. 3 in the world.

All three of Team USA's matches will be aired live. The team begins by facing Kazakhstan on Friday, August 2 at 7 p.m. EST on NBC Sports Network. Team USA will then take on Bulgaria on Saturday at 6 p.m. EST on the Olympic Channel. The final match will be against Argentina on Sunday at 2 p.m. EST on NBC.
