CINCINNATI - Six University of Cincinnati student-athletes are set to graduate this weekend as the University will play host to its Summer 2019 Commencement. The event will begin Saturday at 9 a.m. and will be held inside Fifth Third Arena.
The six Bearcats include two members of the football program with one each from lacrosse, men's soccer, women's track & field and women's swimming & diving. Leah Heckaman, a member of the track & field program, is set to earn her Master's degree in Health Education while her five fellow student-athletes will earn their undergraduate degrees. Also graduating this weekend are Taylor Boose (football), Giuliana Durso (lacrosse), Kennedy Herbert (women's swimming & diving), Braxton Neal (football) and Austin Smythe (men's soccer).
The Summer Commencement will be comprised of one ceremony to honor those receiving Doctoral, Master's, Bachelor's and Associate's degrees from UC. Doors to the event will open at 7:30 p.m. and the event is ticketed. For more information, visit UC.edu/commencement.
