ESPOO, Finland— University of Cincinnati track and field sophomore Dominique Hall concluded his weekend abroad competing in the men's decathlon at the European Athletics U23 Championships in Espoo, Finland inside Leppävaaran Stadion on Sunday.

"Even though it was challenging, it was a great experience from which I learned a lot," Hall said.

Representing Austria at the meet Hall finished 14th overall with 6,738 points out of 22 athletes entered in the event. His best individual event finishes over the weekend came in the 400-meter run (49.99) and the discus (38.23m) where he placed 13th in each.  This was Hall's first international appearance competing in the decathlon.

Hall had an outstanding outdoor track and field season for the Bearcats this year. At the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships Hall earned his first conference title after scoring a meet-record 7,498 points in the men's decathlon.

His score at the AAC championships was the third most points scored by a Bearcat in the decathlon. He joins former Bearcats Alex Bloom and Cannon Riddle as the only Bearcats to claim the AAC decathlon titles.
