CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati swimming and diving head coach Mandy Commons-DiSalle announced the full 2023-24 schedule on Friday.
The highlights of the slate includes the program's inaugural Big 12 Championships and four home meets inside Keating Aquatics Center.
"We have an exciting schedule ahead of our first season in the Big 12," Commons-DiSalle said. "We will be facing a great field of competitive teams that will prepare our teams for their first championship meet in our new conference."
Cincinnati opens its schedule with its annual Red vs. Back intrasquad meet on Oct. 6 before hosting Alumni/Parent Weekend a week later on Oct. 13 with a meet against Northwestern.
UC hits the road for the first time with a trip to Kenyon College on Oct. 21. Cincinnati returns home to take on Big 12 opponent West Virginia in its inaugural season in the conference on Oct. 27-28.
Cincinnati makes the short trip north for a return to the Ohio State Invitational on Nov. 16-18. At last season's invitational, the Bearcats set 37 top-10 marks and three program records were reestablished at the time in the men's 200-yard freestyle relay, women's 100-yard breaststroke and the women's 100-yard backstroke.
The Bearcats will participate in the 2023 Toyota U.S. Open Championships on Nov. 29-Dec. 2.
To conclude the fall season, selected student-athlete will compete in the 2023 CSCAA Open Water National Championships on Dec. 17.
The men's team look to defend their title after recording three top-15 finishes at the 2022 CSCAA College National Open Water Championships.
The Bearcats ring in the new year with a pair of rivalry meets. Cincinnati makes a short trip to Miami (OH) on Jan. 12 before honoring its seniors against crosstown rival Xavier on Jan. 19.
A full weekend of competition closes out the regular season with two road meets starting with Kentucky on Feb. 2 and rounding out against Louisville on Feb. 3.
Postseason action opens Feb. 27-March 2 with the Big 12 Championships in Morgantown, W. Va. The NCAA Zone Diving Championships will follow on March 7-9 prior to the CSCCA National Invitational on March 14-16 in Ocala, Fla.
The women's NCAA Championships will be held in Athens, Ga. on March 20-23 with the men's event to follow in Indianapolis, Ind. on March 26-29. Freshman Joleigh Crye became the latest Bearcat swimmer to advance to the NCAA Championships in 2022, where she clocked a time of 59.49 seconds in the 100-yard breaststroke.
