Bearcats Music Festival Presented By Pepsi Live At The Grid Debuts In 2016

CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics is partnering with Pepsi for a five-game pregame football concert series in the Gridiron Tailgate area.

The Bearcats Music Festival Presented by Pepsi Live at the Grid will start two hours before kickoff and end 30 minutes before gametime. The stage will be located in the southwest corner of the Grid.

The Naked Karate Girls kick things off on Sept. 1 (UT Martin), Brother Smith will take the stage on Sept. 14 (Houston) and Cherry On Top will close out the month on Sept. 24 (Miami Ohio). Zack Attack performs on Oct. 1 (USF) and What She Said closes out the five-game show on Oct. 22 (East Carolina).

UC opens its 2016 campaign on Thursday, Sept. 1, when UT Martin visits historic Nippert Stadium for a 7 p.m. kickoff. Season tickets and mini-plans are available now starting at $99. // THE GRID
The Grid is located on Campus Green and offers 100-plus tailgating plots to allow fans to bring their pregame parties to the heart of campus. The Grid opens six hours prior to gametime unless the game is kicking off at noon. For noon games, the Grid will open at 8 a.m. Plots are sold on a season-long basis for $300 and interested fans can contact the UCATS office at 513-556-4884 for more information. The Grid also includes concessions, the RallyCats Beer Tent and several local food trucks will be on hand for each game this season.

// BEARCATS FAN ZONE
Join us at the Bearcats Fan Zone before every UC home football game. Fans of all ages can enjoy inflatable games, live entertainment, food & beverages for sale, cornhole, giveaways, the Kids’ Club Coloring Contest and visits from the Bearcat. The Bearcats Fan Zone is available four hours before the game and concludes 30 minutes prior to kickoff, allowing fans time to make it to their seats for the beginning of the game. Be sure to come out early to enjoy all of the unique pregame fun!

// ROOFTOP TAILGATE
UC football fans have an exciting opportunity for a traditional tailgate experience with gas grills and adult beverages permitted in the rooftop tailgating area atop University Avenue Garage. Rooftop tailgate passes are exclusive to UCATS members and cost $300 for the entire season. Passes are subject to availability and will be allocated according to UCATS giving level and priority points. Contact the UCATS office at 513-556-4884 to request a pass.

// THE CATWALK
Be sure to participate in a great UC tradition – the CATWALK, which occurs approximately two-and-a-half hours before game time. Join the Bearcats, UC cheerleaders and band to fire up the football team and coaches as they pass through the middle of the Grid on their pregame walk to Nippert Stadium.
