CINCINNATI, Ohio - With over 60 women in attendance, the inaugural Cincinnati Women's Football Clinic was agreat success. Hosts Jeni Thomas, wife of Athletics Director Mike Thomas, and Becky Dantonio, wife of head football coach Mark Dantonio, were pleased with the turnout.
"This turnout is a great showing of how many people have an interest in University of Cincinnati football," said Jeni Thomas.
After introductions, both Thomas' and Dantonios spoke to the crowd before introducing other members of the football staff and their wives.
Coaches Dave Warner (offense), Harlon Barnett (defense) and Tim Hinton (special teams) spent time teaching the phases of the game to intent audiences as the women cycled through.
Tight end Brent Celek, wide receiver Bill Poland and safety Haruki Nakamura were the models in UC's version of a fasion show. The three showed off their Cincinnati jerseys amid catcalls from the crowd.
"I'm so happy about the turnout tonight and excited about doing this again next year," commented Becky Dantonio.
