CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati Athletics Ticket Office has sold all 1,669 seats in the 1530 HOMER Bearcats Lair section and season tickets have crossed the 7,700-seat threshold with 15 days remaining before UC's season opener on Thursday, Aug. 30 versus Southeast Missouri State.
The Bearcats Lair section, located above the north endzone, has seen remarkable growth in popularity the last three years going from 10 tickets in 2005 to 150 last year and selling out this season.
"Even though the Bearcat Lair is sold out, UC fans can still take advantage of the other great values we have to see BIG EAST Conference football," said Joann Mantovani, Assistant Director of Athletics for Marketing and Fan Development. "Whether you want a season ticket for all six home games or one of our three mini-plan offers, we have something for everyone."
UC is offering three unique mini-plans at discounted ticket rates. The "Kickoff 2007" mini-plan ($40) includes reserved tickets (regularly $24 per ticket) to the season opener against Southeast Missouri State (Aug. 30) and the nationally televised matchup with preseason Top 25 opponent Oregon State (Sept. 6). The "Pick Two" mini-plan ($40) offers reserved tickets to two UC home games (one non-conference and one BIG EAST contest) of your choice. The "BIG EAST Beast" plan ($60) includes reserved tickets to each of the three BIG EAST home games (Louisville, Connecticut and West Virginia).
