The University of Cincinnati men's golf team competes in the Seminole Intercollegiate, March 13-15, at the Southwood Golf Club in Tallahassee, Florida.

Some of the nation's highest ranked teams will take part in the three-day event, including host No. 2 Florida State, No. 7. Georgia Tech, No. 8 South Carolina and No. 9 South Florida. Other squads in the field with Cincinnati include East Tennessee State, Florida, George Washington, Illinois State, Jacksonville, James Madison, Louisville, Mercer, Penn State, Troy, Virginia and Western Kentucky.

Cincinnati will tee off Friday at 8:30 a.m. ET. Participating in the event for the Bearcats will be seniors Baxter Reeves (Montgomery, Ala./Brewbaker Tech/Central Alabama CC), Jared Howard (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome High School) and John Michael O'Toole (Pinson, Ala./Pinson Valley High School/Central Alabama CC), along with sophomore Jared O'Kelley (Canton, Ga./Creekview High School) and freshman Davis Baxter (Nolensville, Tenn./Ravenwood High School).

The Bearcats are looking to improve upon a 14th-place finish at the Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday General Hackler Championship on Tuesday.

"The team is in a good frame of mind," UC head coach said. "One of my philosophies as we have improved the program is to put together a tougher schedule. Myrtle Beach presented a very difficult course along with a challenging field. The guys are eager for a fresh start this week.

"Baxter played 50 of 54 holes at 2-under par last week and Jared O'Kelley played very well too. But we need everyone on the team to value every shot we take. We have to improve our consistency."

Reeves finished tied for 32nd in Myrtle Beach while O'Kelley ended the tournament one stroke behind Reeves to tie for 37th place.
