TicketsA pair of University of Cincinnati men's golfers compete in the nation's top amateur tournament, the U.S. Amateur, beginning Monday, Aug. 14, in Los Angeles, Calif.
Senior Davis Baxter (Nolensville, Tenn./Ravenwood High School) and junior Austin Squires (Union, Ky./Ryle High School), who qualified for the prestigious event at Coldstream Country Club in July, are included among the 312-player field taking part in the seven-day event.
The two-day stroke play portion of the tournament starts Monday. Baxter will tee off at 2:10 p.m. PT at the Riviera Country Club (7,272 yards/Par 70) while Squires starts action at 1:39 p.m. PT at nearby Bel-Air Country Club (6,722 yards/Par 70).
The top 64 finishers in the stroke play event will advance to the five-day match play portion of the event at the Riviera Club.
