  • Cincinnati (15-7, 8-2 American) wraps up a two-game road swing Sunday at UConn (12-10, 3-6). The contest tips at noon ET on CBS Sports Network and 700 WLW.  
  • The Bearcats won at Wichita State for the third consecutive season Thursday, outlasting the Shockers 80-79 on a three-point play by Jarron Cumberland with 3.5 seconds left. Cumberland finished with a game-high 24 points and five assists. Keith Williams tallied 17 points. Chris Vogt had 12 points and three blocks. Trevon Scott added nine points and a game-best 11 rebounds. 
  • UConn won at Tulsa's Reynolds Center for the first time  Thursday, posting a 72-56 victory. James Bouknight led the way with 22 points. 
  • Sunday marks the final regular-season meeting between Cincinnati and UConn as members of the American Athletic Conference. The Huskies move to the BIG EAST Conference beginning in 2020-21. The Bearcats earned a 67-51 win over the Huskies on New Year's Day at Fifth Third Arena in the previous meeting this season. 
  • Cincinnati has won eight in a row in the series since UConn's 104-97 four-overtime victory on Mar. 11, 2016 in the quarterfinals of the AAC Tournament. Cincinnati leads the series 16-13 overall, including a 3-1 mark in Storrs.

  • Jarron Cumberland has been named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll each of the past three weeks (1/20, 1/27, 2/3). Over the last six games, Cumberland has led the Bearcats in scoring five times, averaging 20.5 points, 5.2 assists and 2.2 3-pointers while shooting 46.8 percent (37 of 79) from the floor. 
  • Trevon Scott has registered seven double-doubles this season, including three in the last five games. During the stretch, he is averaging 12.0 points, 10.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists while shooting 56.1 percent (23 of 41) from the floor. 
  • Chris Vogt entered Friday's action ranked third in the nation, shooting 67.8 percent 
  • (116 of 171) from the field. He has shot at least 50 percent from the floor in 18 of 22 games this season. 
  • Cincinnati was listed 117th in the NET rankings on Dec. 16 but climbed to as high as 45th in the listing Friday. 
  • Sunday marks the final regular-season game between Cincinnati and UConn as members of The American. Cincinnati and UConn have played in 13 of the last 14 seasons while members of the BIG EAST Conference and AAC.

  • UConn has won two of its last three after earning a 72-56 road victory at Tulsa on Thursday. Last week, the Huskies split a pair of games, posting a 78-63 home win over Temple (1/29) before falling, 70-63, at Memphis (2/1). 
  • Senior guard Christian Vital leads UConn, averaging 14.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.4 steals. He has a team-best 38 3-pointers this season.  
  • Freshman guard James Bouknight is averaging 10.9 points and 3.4 rebounds while shooting 47.8 percent (75 of 157) from the floor. 
  • Among AAC leaders, junior guard Aterique Gilbert ranks second in assists (4.4) and fifth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.7). Junior forward/center Josh Carlton ranks second in offensive rebounds (2.8) and seventh in blocks (1.2).Freshman forward Akok Akok ranks first in blocks (2.9). Vital is first in free throw percentage (.878) and second in steals (2.4).

  • WINNING AGAIN IN WICHITA: Cincinnati's victory in the final seconds at Wichita State on Thursday marked the Bearcats' third consecutive win at Charles Koch Arena. Cincinnati is only the third team to win as many as three in a row at The Roundhouse since its renovation in 2003, joining Southern Illinois (3x; 2007-09) and Northern Iowa (4x; 2005-08).    
  • COMEBACK CATS: UC registered its largest comeback win of the season against then-No. 21 Houston (2/1), rallying from a 15-point deficit with 13:01 remaining. From that point on the Bearcats finished the game on a 26-9 run while limiting Houston to 2 of 17 shooting (12.5 percent) from the floor. Keith Williams led UC with 10 points during the comeback.  
  • LEGACY BUILDERS: Cincinnati has won 104 games since the start of the 2016-17 season, tied for the sixth most in the nation entering play Saturday. Redshirt-senior Trevon Scott has played in 103 of those victories while senior Jarron Cumberland has played in 101 of the wins.
  • UC great Steve Logan owns the school record for playing in the most school wins, seeing action in 111 victories from 1998-99 through 2001-02. 
  • OFFENSE TRAVELS: Cincinnati has played well offensively in its last two road games, outscoring both Wichita State (80-79) and Temple (89-82). The Bearcats shot 68.2 percent (15 of 22) in the first half at Wichita State, finishing at 54.5 percent (30 of 55) for the game. Both were season highs allowed by the Shockers. 
  • Cincinnati's win at Temple (1/22) marked the first time the Bearcats won a road game in regulation while allowing 80 or more points since a 92-83 victory at Vanderbilt on Dec. 10, 2005 (17 such occurrences). The Owls entered the week ranked 22nd nationally in field goal percentage defense. However, the Bearcats managed to shoot 52.0 percent (26 of 50) from the floor. 
  • DEFENSIVE EFFORT VS SMU: UC limited the AAC's top scoring offense (74.1 points entering Jan. 28) to a season-low 43 points and held the Mustangs to a season-low .259 field goal percentage (14 of 54). The 43 points are the fewest scored by a UC foe this season. 
  • COUSIN COMBO: The cousin duo of Jarron and Jaevin Cumberland have combined to tally more than 30 points on five occasions this season for the Bearcats: 38 vs Tulsa (1/8): Jarron (22), Jaevin (16); 37 at Temple (1/22): Jarron (22), Jaevin (15); 33 at Wichita State (2/6): Jarron 24, Jaevin (9); 32 vs. Bowling Green (11/24): Jaevin (21), Jarron (11); 31 vs. SMU (1/28): Jarron (28), Jaevin (3).
