CINCINNATI – Former University of Cincinnati offensive lineman James Hudson was selected by the Cleveland Browns with the 110th pick overall in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

CINCINNATI – Former University of Cincinnati offensive lineman James Hudson was selected by the Cleveland Browns with the 110th pick overall in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. 
 
Hudson was a 2020 First-Team All-American Athletic Conference selection at tackle, helping bookend an offensive line which was tabbed as a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award. UC averaged an AAC-best 5.6 yards per carry this season and ran for 212.4 yards per game on the ground. The Bearcats allowed an AAC-low nine sacks during the regular season.

Hudson gave up his final two seasons of eligibility to enter the 2021 draft. He played in the 2021 Reese's Senior Bowl and was selected for the 2021 NFL Combine.

DRAFT NOTABLES
UC has now had a player selected in each of the last six NFL Drafts. Hudson is the 113th UC player selected all time, the 34th since 2001 and the third picked by the Cleveland Browns after Andrew Stewart (1989) and John Hughes (2012).
 
Thirteen former Bearcats offensive linemen have been drafted, most recently Korey Cunningham by Arizona in 2018. Cunningham now plays for the New England Patriots.
