CINCINNATI– The University of Cincinnati women's golf team will travel to Savannah, Ga. to compete in The Southern on Monday.
The two-day tournament will take place at the par 72, 6,036-yard Savannah Golf Club. All rounds will have a shotgun start of 8:30 a.m. ET. The first two rounds will be on Monday and the final round will take place on Tuesday morning.
Last time out, Ruby Chou led the Bearcats with six birdies in the Marilynn Smith Invitational. She carded an even-par in the second round. Chou finished nine-over par (225) and placed 26th in the tournament. She leads the Bearcats this fall with a stroke average of 74.33.
Minoo Mousavi carded a team-high seven birdies in her debut as a Bearcat. Rim Imni recorded her second straight top 30 finish this fall.
The Bearcats' lineup consists of Ruby Chou, Rim Imni, Yu-Wei Chiang, Mar García and Maggie Huett. Sophomore Lauren Pleiman will compete as an individual in the tournament. She competed in seven events last season as a freshman. This marks her season debut for the fall slate.
In addition to Cincinnati, the 13-team field includes host Georgia Southern, Dartmouth, Charlotte, Augusta, Lipscomb, Charleston Southern, Florida Southern, SCAD Savannah, Florida Atlantic, High Point, Jacksonville State and Campbell.
