Cincinnati Athletics Celebrates 3.0-4.0 Athletes

CINCINNATI – A halftime ceremony at Cincinnati's eventual buzzer-beating, women's basketball win over Oklahoma State helped highlight another impressive academic semester across the board.

With 80 percent of student-athletes (359 in all) earning at least a 3.0 GPA, it marked the second semester all-time with such a mark. The department's 3.4201 clip was its highest all-time outside of COVID semesters (2020 spring-2021 spring).

Men's cross country (3.58) and volleyball (3.74) had the highest men's and women's GPAs.

UC posted its 31st-straight grading period above a 3.0, including 12 consecutive at 3.3 or higher. There were 60 TopCats (4.0 GPA), 277 on the Dean's List (at least a 3.4) and 359 on the overall honor roll. The latter two were all-time department highs.
