The Cincinnati tennis team received ITA All-Academic Team recognition, and seven Bearcats (Victoire de Samucewicz, Callie Flanagan, Rozalia Gruszczynska, Gabrielle Guenther, Morgan Pyrz, Sanjana Reddy and Sakurako Watanabe) received ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition.

CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati tennis team received ITA All-Academic Team recognition, and seven Bearcats (Victoire de Samucewicz, Callie Flanagan, Rozalia Gruszczynska, Gabrielle Guenther, Morgan Pyrz, Sanjana Reddy and Sakurako Watanabe) received ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition.
 
In order for a program to qualify for ITA All-Academic honors, it must present a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale), all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form and all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
 
For a student-athlete to be recognized as an ITA Scholar-Athlete, they must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
 
De Samucewicz graduated with a certificate in digital marketing this April, boasting a GPA of 3.86. The Paris native participated in 21 matches, playing from both the No. 1 and No. 2 positions, and secured four singles victories. De Samucewicz achieved four doubles wins, three of them alongside Flanagan, and one with Watanabe at the No. 2 spot.
 
Flanagan, who maintains a 3.8 GPA and is majoring in nutrition and dietetics, achieved seven singles wins while playing from the No. 4 and No. 5 positions. In doubles, she played in the No. 2 spot with De Samucewicz and the No. 3 spot with Isabel Pacheco, securing five doubles victories.
 
Gruszczynska, a finance major with a 3.5 GPA, led the Bearcats with 10 singles victories. The Poland native played in all 23 matches, securing eight singles wins at the No. 1 spot. Teaming up with Guenther, Gruszczynska achieved a team-high 10 doubles victories, all at the No. 1 position.
 
Guenther is a Sport Administration major who presents a 3.937 GPA. Competing mainly in the No. 3 spot, she posted six singles wins and triumphed in her only match on court No. 2 by defeating Southern Indiana's Lauren Rowe 6-0, 6-0. Guenther recorded her first Big 12 win against Iowa State's Isabella Dunlap. Additionally, she totaled a team-high 10 doubles victories with Gruszczynska in the No. 1 position. She also attended the NIL Summit in Atlanta this summer, where Cincinnati was named the best institutional program in the nation.
 
Pyrz, currently studying business, showcases a 3.527 GPA. Pyrz led the team with 12 doubles wins, she competed primarily from the No. 3 position. The Texas native achieved nine doubles victories with Watanabe, two with Pacheco, and one with Reddy. Notably, Pyrz was victorious in both doubles matches on court No. 2 with Watanabe and secured flawless 6-0 doubles wins against Western Illinois and Northern Kentucky. Additionally, Pyrz posted four singles wins.

As a medical sciences major, Reddy boasts a GPA of 3.938. Reddy appeared in two matches. The Cincinnati natvie secured both a singles and a doubles victory against Eastern Illinois. Reddy defeated Emma Pilipovic-Kljajic 6-4, 7-5 in singles on court No. 6 and earned a 6-3 doubles win on court No. 3 with Pyrz.

Watanabe is an exploratory major and has achieved a GPA of 3.767. Watanabe gathered 10 doubles wins and posted six singles victories, winning her first five singles and doubles matches of the season. Competing mainly on courts No. 4 and No. 5 in singles, she also compiled a perfect 2-0 record on court No. 3. Watanabe recorded her first career Big 12 win against Houston's Elena Trencheva, 6-2, 1-6, 6-3. In doubles, she was primarily paired with Pyrz on court No. 3, where they won seven matches, and maintained a 3-0 record on court No. 2.
