CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's basketball team is back in action Saturday, hosting Colorado at 6 p.m. inside Fifth Third Arena.

THE RUNDOWN
  • Cincinnati earned its first Big 12 road win of the season last Saturday, outlasting UCF for a 64-58 victory. The Bearcats have now won four straight against the Knights and are 8-1 this season when holding opponents to 58 points or fewer.
  • The win came down to the wire, with five ties and five lead changes. A'riel Jackson delivered the go-ahead floater with 51 seconds remaining.
  • UC capitalized at the free throw line, converting 18-of-27 attempts, including an 8-of-11 effort in the fourth quarter. The Bearcats are now 10-2 when winning the battle at the charity stripe.
  • Tineya Hylton led the charge with a Big 12 season-high 17 points, matched her career-high with seven rebounds, and swiped three steals. After suffering an early ankle injury, the senior returned to score 15 of her 17 points in the performance.
  • Chloe Mann notched her fifth double-digit scoring outing of her freshman campaign. She scored 14 points and went 6-of-8 from the free throw line, including a perfect 4-for-4 effort in the fourth quarter. She ranks inside the top 10 in the Big 12 in free throw percentage (.814).
  • Fifth-year forward Jillian Hayes, UC's all-time leader in games played, is just 11 rebounds away from becoming only the second player in program history to reach 1,000 career rebounds.
  • Hayes is averaging nearly a double-double with 15.8 points and 9.7 rebounds per game while shooting 43.8% from the field this season. Her seven double-doubles rank third in the Big 12 and 27th nationally. She also sits second in the league in rebounding and 13th in scoring.
  • Hayes has notched 11 double-digit scoring performances this season, including five 20-point outings. She became the 10th Bearcat to reach 1,500 career points vs. TCU.
  • Junior A'riel Jackson has stepped up in Big 12 play, averaging 9.4 points while shooting 43.9% from the field (44.4% from deep). She's posted double-digit scoring efforts in three conference games and led UC in assists four times during that stretch.
  • Alliance Ndiba has anchored the paint, ranking eighth in the Big 12 in blocks (1.3 BPG) and 11th in rebounds (6.9 RPG). She has led UC in blocks in nine games, including each of the last five.
  • Hylton is a do-it-all playmaker for the Bearcats, leading the team in assists (3.2 APG) and steals (2.2 SPG) while ranking second in scoring (12.9 PPG). She has paced UC in scoring five times, dished out the most assists in 10 games, and led the team in steals on eight occasions.
  • Cincinnati leads the Big 12 and ranks sixth nationally in made free throws per game (17.4). Hayes paces the team with 79 free throws made, ranking second in the conference and 24th in the country.
  • The Bearcats force 19.5 turnovers per game and are 8-1 when committing fewer turnovers than their opponents. Cincinnati's +6.5 turnover margin ranks second in the Big 12 and 27th nationally.
  • Twice this season, UC has made 31 free throws in a game — the highest single-game total in the Big 12 this season and the most by the Bearcats since 2001.
  • Among active career Division I leaders, Hayes ranks third in FTs (482), 15th in rebounds (989) and 28th in double-doubles (30).
  • The Bearcats secured their best non-conference winning percentage (.800, 8-2) since the 2005-06 season (.909, 10-1).
  • Cincinnati is ranked 62nd nationally in the Jan. 16 NET.
