SIMPSONVILLE, Ky.---Hillery Wilson shot a second round 76 and is tied for 14th after one day of play at the Napa River Grill Cardinal Cup. Wilson, a sophomore, helped the University of Cincinnati to 11th place after one day of play at the tournament which is being hosted by the University of Louisville.
Wilson bounced back from a round one score of 79 to end Monday with a score of 155, just three strokes out of the top-10. Kentucky's Erin Faulkner leads the race for the top spot with a three-under score of 143.
Junior Sarah Bires and sophomore Allison Mayborg are also in the top-25, tied for 24th with scores of 158. Bires carded rounds of 78 and 80 during the opening day of play, while Mayborg, playing as an individual, clamied two rounds of 79.
In the team standings, the Bearcats are 11th after a second round 319 gave them a total of 649. UC trails fromer Conference USA rival Southern Miss and Coastal Carolina by nine strokes. Georgia State is atop the team standings with a a score of 595.
