Former University of Cincinnati defensive tackle Derek Wolfe, now with the Denver Broncos, will play in his first Super Bowl on Feb. 7, 2016.

The Broncos will take on the Carolina Panthers inside Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. The game will be televised by CBS.

Wolfe started his final 38 games at UC, finishing fourth on the Bearcats' all-time list with 19.5 career sacks. He was named Big East Conference co-Defensive Player of the Year and earned second-team All- America honors as a senior in 2011 after recording 9.5 sacks on the season and ranking first among Football Subdivision defensive tackles with 21.5 tackles for a loss.

Wolfe was selected by the Broncos in the second round (36th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft.

He missed the Broncos appearance in Super Bowl XLVIII after being placed on the injured reserve list during the playoffs.

The fourth-year defensive lineman has started all 55 regular-season games played during his first four NFL seasons with Denver, totaling 140 tackles (96 solo), 17.0 sacks, four passes defensed and one fumble recovery.
