CINCINNATI - The final day of competition at the Music City Challenge came to a close Saturday night in Nashville, Tenn., with the University of Cincinnati track & field program recording two school records, three event wins and seven other marks that rank among the program's all-time Top 10 as well. The meet served as the final tune-up for the Bearcats before entering the championship season in two weeks with the conference meet.

// CC YOU LATER!
For the second time in three weeks, Caisja Chandler had big day on the track as she took down another school record, this time smashing the 60m dash mark as she ran 7.30 to win the event in Nashville. Chandler, who dropped 0.11 seconds off her personal best, bettered the previous mark of 7.40 that Natasha Burse ran in 2011. Chandler was the top qualifier out of the preliminary races as well as she ran 7.43. Two weeks ago, she tied her own school record in the 200m to give her the top spots in both short indoor sprints.

// MIGHTY MILE
If you look back at the all-time Top 10 for the women's indoor mile just a handful of years ago, it would look vastly different that what it is now. Today, four Bearcats posted times that not only are personal bests, but also rank in the UC Top 10, including Ellie Leather resetting the school record she broke one week ago as she ran 4:46.23 today to lower her time from 4:47.41. Joining her with improved times in Nashville were Hannah Markel (4:55.20), Katrina Patterson (4:57.07) and Maddie Walker (4:58.86), who posted the #3, #4 and #7 times in program history. With those inclusions, seven of the Top 10 marks have been recorded in the past four years with five marks coming in the 2020 season alone.

// BIG BOUNCE
Kennedy Marable had a big day in the triple jump as she not only won the event, but posted a by personal best of 12.97m (42-06.75), an improvement of 1' 1" over her previous best. Her mark also left her just 3mm shy of becoming only the third woman in program history to post a leap of 13m or better.

//
GREENLEE GOLDEN

The men won one event on the day with Arthur Greenlee IV capturing the title in the 60m hurdles. Greenlee IV raced to a time of 7.83 in the prelims for the top qualifying time before taking the finals in 7.90. In the same races, Damien Berthenet lowered his personal-best times twice, running 8.18 and 8.17, respectively in the prelims and finals. If he duplicates either mark in the heptathlon later this month, he would break the program's heptathlon 60m hurdles record.

// MORE MARKS
Three more marks recorded on the day found a home in the Top 10 with two coming from the women and one from the men. For the women, Sydney Kilgore posted a personal-best time in the 800m for the third race in a row, this time clocking in at 2:12.51 to take the #7 spot on the all-time list. The second women's mark to be recorded came in the 3,000m run where Sam Mikula clocked a time of 10:00.13 for the #9 position. On the men's side, Brandon White had a huge jump in the triple jump as he finished with a best of 14.66m (48-01.25) to join the Top 10 for the first time in his career at #7.

// UP NEXT
The Bearcats will take one week off from competition before heading to Birmingham, Ala., on February 28-29 as they will compete in the 2020 American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships. The two-day meet will be contested at the CrossPlex once again with individual, relay and team championships on the line.
