Kennedy Joins Cincinnati as Assistant AD, Ticket Operations

The University of Cincinnati athletics department has welcomed Aric Kennedy as the Assistant Athletics Director of Ticket Operations, while promoting Tony Theobald to Assistant AD of Annual Giving and Premium Seating.

CINCINNATI -- The University of Cincinnati athletics department has welcomed Aric Kennedy as the Assistant Athletics Director, Ticket Operations.
 
Kennedy comes to Clifton following a 10-year stint at his alma mater, Indiana.
 
His roles will include developing, implementing and managing policies and procedures as they relate to ticket and game operations. He will be responsible for fulfilling season, group and individual ticket requests and creating online promotions, among many other duties.
 
"Aric brings an extensive amount of high-level experience in ticket operations," Bria McLaurin, Associate AD of Ticketing, said. "He has successfully implemented and managed multiple ticketing processes and procedures during his time at Indiana. We are extremely excited to have Aric join us and know he will help the department continue to achieve Next Level Success."
 
In addition to close relationships with UCATS regarding donor relations, premium seating and priority points, Kennedy will supervise the ticket office staff and activities and assist marketing with reports and database maintenance.
 
While in Bloomington as the Assistant Director of Ticket Operations for Sales and Customer Service (starting in January 2014), Kennedy oversaw the sales and operations for men's soccer and baseball, as well as a ticket office service team of three full-time staff members. He also led operations for championship events the school hosted and the IU Athletics Ticket Office Twitter account. Kennedy boasts several years of experience with several platforms in his field, including Paciolan, Ticketmaster and Zipwhip, a text communication software.
 
Kennedy also worked as a ticket office assistant from July 2012 to December 2013. He earned his bachelor's degree in Recreational Sport Management in 2012, followed by his master's in Athletic Administration/Sport Management in 2014, both at IU. 
 
He and his wife, Brianne, have one daughter, Camilla.  All are excited to create a home in Greater Cincinnati.
 
Theobald Promoted to Assistant AD
Tony Theobald has been promoted to Assistant AD, Annual Giving and Premium Seating.
 
Theobald will continue to oversee all UCATS annual giving fundraising efforts, which includes the Next Level Success Fund and General Scholarship Fund. He will provide oversight and sales support for all premium spaces in Nippert Stadium and Fifth Third.
 
Theobald started at the University of Cincinnati in June 2015 in the ticket office. His responsibilities included generating new sales leads for tickets, working on ticket sales and retention for football, basketball and baseball. He also engaged the fan base through various community events around the greater Cincinnati area. 
 
Prior to UC, Theobald, worked during the summer of 2014 interning for the Kentucky PGA working events including the PGA Championship at Valhalla. 

Theobald graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Administration from the University of Cincinnati in the summer of 2014. A native Cincinnatian, Theobald attended Norwood High School.
