CINCINNATI -- Cincinnati fifth-year senior guard David DeJulius earned an AAC weekly honor roll nod following his milestone performance Sunday against SMU.
DeJulius scored a career-high 30 points in his final regular-season game at Fifth Third Arena, knocking down a three in the final minutes before coming out to a standing ovation and kissing the midcourt logo on his way out. The Detroit native also added six assists to extend his nation-leading, five-plus assist streak to 16. His 6.78 per AAC game leads the league by 1.31, and he is still second in those games with an 89.7 FT clip.
This is the first season since at least 2009-10 that UC has had two different players with 30-plus point scoring games, as Landers Nolley II scored 33 against Arizona to open the Maui Invitational. The 97 points were UC's most against an AAC foe in Wes Miller's two years at the helm.
The Bearcats, who earned their 40th, 20-win season in school history, open AAC Tourney play Friday against Temple at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
