CINCINNATI— University of Cincinnati track and field sophomore Annika Kinley, freshman Lauren Barnes and graduate student Nyile Facey will compete in the USATF Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon this week.
The high jumping pair of Kinley and Barnes will participate in the 2023 USATF U20 Outdoor Championships while the hurdler Facey will compete in the 2023 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships.
The Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships and USATF U20 Championships will be held July 6-9 at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon. This will be the 11th time the U.S. Championship meet will be hosted at Hayward Field. A complete schedule for both championships can be found here.

Facey is slated in compete in the 100-meter hurdles in the Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships. The 100-meter hurdles first round will begin at 8:53 p.m. on July 7. The graduate transfer had a terrific season outdoor season as a Bearcat. She broke both the UC program records in the 400-meter hurdles (58.66) and the 100-meter hurdles (12.97).
Facey earned a silver medal in the 100-meter hurdles at the American Athletic Conference Championship and was an NCAA Preliminary Round qualifier in both the 400-meter and 100-meter hurdles.
The high jumping duo of Kinley and Barnes will compete in the USATF U20 Championships which is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 9. The pair qualified for the NCAA Preliminary Round in the event.
Kinley advanced to the NCAA Outdoor Championships where she finished 21st overall in her first appearance at the meet. She was also the runner-up in the event at 2023 AAC Championship.
Both Kinley and Barnes recorded UC all-time top 10 marks this season. Kinley's personal-best bar clearance of 1.82m (5'11.5") is the sixth-best mark in program history while Barnes' personal-best of 1.76m (5'9.25") is the eighth-best in school history.
