Security
- The university announced a clear-bag requirement in 2023 for all venues. An update to that policy allows for small clutch or belt bags of a larger size. Fans will be able to bring one clear bag – either a one-gallon Ziploc-style bag or a clear bag tote no larger than 12" x 6" x 12" – AND a small clutch bag or wallet, up to 6" x 9" in size, into on-campus events.
- Fans who bring bags that do not meet these guidelines should return them to their vehicles or utilize lockers available at the west entrance of the arena.
- All on-campus parking remains cashless in 2023.
- Parking on the day of each game is available on a limited basis at Campus Green for $10
- Pre-paid parking is available at Campus Green for $10 and can be purchased HERE.
- ADA parking is available at University Garage on a pre-paid basis. Please note: A state licensed placard or license plate is required for entry.
- We've made updates to our three specialty bars, The Armory, Queen City, and Overlook:
- THE ARMORY BAR, located on the main-level concourse, highlights the history of Armory Fieldhouse, the home of Bearcats basketball from 1954-76. The bar features the original floor from Shoemaker Center. The Armory Bar serves vodka and gin as liquor options.
- THE QUEEN CITY BAR, located on the upper concourse, features a map of the City of Cincinnati and highlights UC Athletics' partnerships with Rhinegeist, MadTree, and Great Lakes. The Queen City Bar serves tequila as a liquor option.
- THE OVERLOOK BAR, located on the upper-level concourse, overlooks UC Baseball Stadium and offers a great place to meet friends before or after games. The Overlook Bar serves whiskey and rye as liquor options.
- Featured local concessions will include Skyline, Frisch's, Cincy Light from Rhinegeist, Wings and Rings, and return of MadTree brewing at the Queen City Bar.
- Bearcats Happy Hour will feature $5 Cincy Lights and a monthly food deal, beginning with a $5 pizza promo to start the season. Bearcats Happy Hour begins begin when gates open 90 minutes before tipoff and concludes 30 minutes before tipoff.
- A new featured Grab-n-Go Station will be featured along the concourse for quick and easy access to your favorite gameday snacks.
- A new souvenir stadium cup is also available for purchase at games.
Arena Enhancements
- In partnership with CCM, we will be updating our lighting programming inside Fifth Third Arena to allow for a more dynamic lighting show before and during games.
- Surprises to come. 👀
- Tagboard––a cloud-based platform for videoboard, TV broadcasts, and social media––will allow fans to interact with the gameday experience like never before. The improved "second screen" experience will bring fans additional fan polls, marketing promotions, and other fan interaction pieces.
- Post your photos on social media using #Bearcats for a chance to make an appearance on the Fifth Third Arena big screen before, during, and after the game.
- Anthony Mazzini returns as our lead play-by-play announcer and Kelsey Conway will be back as our sideline reporter.
- New this season: Former Bearcat Terry Nelson joins the TV team as lead analyst for ESPN+ home games.
- Bearcat great Steve Logan will take over Nelson's role as radio analyst on WLW during these games.
- We have added all-new wireless gear to our broadcast which will give sideline reporter Kelsey Conway better access to move around the arena and do interviews and sideline reports from anywhere on the court.
- Multiple new equipment upgrades including 3 new broadcast cameras and new audio mixing board that will help improve our live broadcasts for digital events on ESPN+ and linear broadcasts on ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU.
- Gameday themes have been announced for the 2023-24 season, including fan colors. Stripe Out Fifth Third Arena in red and black against Texas on January 9 to celebrate our first game in the Big 12. Click HERE to see what color your section will be wearing on gameday. Shirts for purchase for this event will be available at a later date.
- After the viral success of the Bearcat Rihanna concert last season, The Bearcat will be doing a Bearcat Concert Series at four select games this season.
