CINCINNATI— University of Cincinnati track and field alumni Jonathan Harley and Juliana Madzia won the 2024 men's and women's Flying Pig Half-Marathon, presented by Paycor, on Sunday.

Harley was the first to cross the finish line in the men's half marathon after completing the course in 1:10.44. His victory marks the second year in a row that a Bearcat has won the half marathon as current member of the men's track and field team Seth Elking won the race last year.

A native of Granger, Ind., Harley was a member of the UC track and field team for three years (2019-2021) and was part of the school recording-setting 4x1500m relay team in 2021.

Madzia claimed her third career Flying Pig Half-Marathon championship crown as she won this year's race with a time of 1:19:50.

The native of St. Clairsville, Ohio, won her first two titles during the 2014 and 2015 competitions. She ran for the Bearcats for two years (2016-17) and earned all-conference honors at the 2016 American Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships.

Joining Madzia on the podium was current member of the women's track and field team Claire Curtsinger, who placed second overall with a time of 1:20:37.
