TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Cincinnati women's golf team is in third place after a strong start at the MountainView Collegiate.
Yu-Wei Chiang led the Bearcats with a team-high four birdies and carded two-under par (70). She is tied for sixth place after the first round. This marks her third time this season finishing a round under par.
Ruby Chou also carded two-under par (70) and recorded two birdies in the first round. Chou is also tied for sixth place heading into round two on Monday. This marks her fifth time this season finishing a round under par.
Mar Garcia (T36), Rim Imni (T49) and Lauren Pleiman (76) followed in order.
UC is in third place with a team score of 289, while Oklahoma leads the field with a team score of 282.
The second-round tees off Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. ET.
