CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati baseball team embarks on an 11-day road trip this week, the first stop being a weekend series at No. 25 Kansas.

First pitch on Friday is set for 7:00 p.m. ET, and will be followed by a 3:00 p.m. ET game on Saturday and a 2:00 p.m. game on Sunday. All three games will be broadcast on ESPN+.

Following this weekend's series, UC will stay on the road to visit Oral Roberts next Tuesday in midweek action before heading to TCU next weekend, May 9-11.

This weekend's series is the third this season for the Bearcats against a ranked opponent. They opened the year by taking two out of three at No. 11 Duke, but were swept at No. 24 West Virginia April 17-19.

Cincinnati leads the all-time series vs. Kansas, 5-1, and won two out of three at home last season. The highlight of last season's series was game two, when UC starting pitcher Tommy Boba took a no-hitter into the ninth inning against the Jayhawks.

// LAST TIME OUT
Cincinnati is coming off a series win at home vs. Oklahoma State, its fourth conference series win of the year.

The Bearcats won game one, 4-0, and took game two by a score of 11-4 to claim the series. Their attempt to sweep was spoiled by the Cowboys in the third game, which OSU won 8-1.

The shutout in game one was the third of the season for UC. Nathan Taylor started and had seven strikeouts through three innings, but the game was suspended in the bottom of the third inning and picked up again on Saturday. Kellen O'Connor took over on the mound and picked up where Taylor left off, striking out eight over the final six innings to blank the Cowboys.

UC got off to a hot offensive start in game two and used a five-run eighth inning to seal the win.
