CINCINNATI - Cincinnati Athletics hosted the third annual "In Her Likeness" NIL event, presented by Robinhood, at West Pavillion North Lounge on Tuesday night. The event was sponsored by Cincy Reigns and presented by Robinhood.

As the presenting sponsor of the event, Robinhood Markets was proud to educate student-athletes about personal finance to make the most of their NIL deals. Through Robinhood Money Drills®, a financial education program designed for student-athletes, Robinhood is committed to equipping athletes with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed financial decisions both during and after their collegiate careers.

An impressive 500 NIL deals were awarded to UC female student-athletes at the event - totaling more than $35,000 - an increase of more than $20,000 from last year's event.

Through workshops, the event celebrated the individuality of female athletes, providing best practices and tools for branding, while empowering them to tell their own stories.

The sessions featured several guest speakers, including:

  • Sara Chima (External Affairs and Community Strategist at Robinhood Markets, Inc.)

  • John Thomas (Director of Sports Marketing at Beautylish)

  • Katie Lazor (Regional Manager Marketing for Shake Shack)

  • Sierra Hassel (Engagement Manager with Altius Sports Partners)

  • Mackenzie Rastello (Engagement Manager with Altius Sports Partners)

  • Erin Roddy (Founder of Meas Active)

"It means the world to me to be able to empower my female athletes to grow their brands better," said Eddie Taylor, Director of NIL Innovation, who plans to continue the flagship event for years to come.

Each speaker covered a different aspect of female athletes participating in NIL. Topics like women in business, brand outreach and relationship development, how the market is undefeated, being a good brand partner, and building financial success were explained to attending student-athletes.

"NIL has given me more opportunities to network for myself, for internships and for jobs, even post-graduation," said Caroline Endres, a current UC volleyball student-athlete.

After all speakers presented, the student-athletes participated in networking stations and a content creation session. These stations provided resources, connections, and opportunities to maximize their personal brand.
