Why the change to Ticketmaster?
Cincinnati Athletics has identified Ticketmaster through an extensive and competitive bid process. Ticketmaster is the industry leader in ticketing and market reach. With a focus on enhancing the fan experience and expanding the Cincinnati fan base, we believe Ticketmaster is the best fit for our fans as we enter a new era of college athletics.
What does this mean for my ticketing account?
Your Paciolan/My Account account will not be available after June 30, 2025. Your historical information will be converted to Ticketmaster and live on your new Ticketmaster account.
Do I need to create a Ticketmaster account?
If you already have a Ticketmaster account, you don't need to sign up for a new one.
If you do not have a Ticketmaster account, one will be created for you based on your current email address. Instructions will be sent for logging into the system in June.
What if the email address associated with my current UC ticketing platform is different than my current Ticketmaster account email address?
The ticket office will be able to assist with any necessary account information changes to ensure a smooth transition.
Will I have the same account number?
UC Athletics and Ticketmaster are making all efforts to retain your customer number. However, Ticketmaster operates via email address logins, and customer numbers serve as identifiers, not as the sole source of sign-on.
I've heard that Ticketmaster charges high fees; does this mean I'll be paying more?
Service fees are 15% of the single-game ticket price. Fees do not apply to season ticket holders.
Fees are split with UC Athletics, and the funds cover operational aspects of your game day, including ticket scanners, ushers, and general entry needs.
Season ticket holders will be charged an order fee, which has been a standard aspect of ticket purchases historically.
The "fees" in reference are generally only when single-game purchasers purchase via Ticketmaster.com. Season ticket holders can avoid these fees on single-game tickets by purchasing through their account portal.
If I have a Ticketmaster account, will my UC tickets show up in the Ticketmaster app I already have?
Yes. If you already have a Ticketmaster account, you can log in to the account and manage your UC tickets through their interface. Conversely, you can log into your UC account and manage your tickets for other venues there.
Does Ticketmaster offer a virtual 'select-a-seat' feature like the current provider?
Yes. The Ticketmaster system, called VirtualVenue, allows fans to choose their exact seat locations during the upgrade process, as well as for single-game tickets.
Will I still be able to re-sell my tickets?
Yes. Ticketmaster has its own verified marketplace where fans can re-sell and purchase tickets. Purchasing through the Ticketmaster marketplace will allow the Bearcats Ticket Office to provide ticketing assistance, should it be necessary.
Where can I purchase and manage my tickets?
Tickets can be purchased and managed through a personalized Account Manager page, which will be available starting in July 2025. The UC-specific Account Manager page will serve as the hub for all ticketing-related management and information.
Some of the functions available on your Account Manager page include:
- Purchase, transfer and re-sell tickets
- Print and pay invoices
- Renew season tickets
- Make UCATS donations and view donation history
Where can I purchase tickets on the secondary market?
With Ticketmaster, fans benefit from the ease of having one place to shop for both primary and secondary tickets. They can see more options, compare ticket prices, and view the locations of all available inventory, and have a secure place to shop when primary tickets are no longer available.
Ticketmaster showcases primary and secondary inventory in a co-mingled marketplace with both ticket types represented by different colored markings. Blue dots represent primary inventory, and pink dots represent secondary inventory.
100% of resale tickets are verified and authenticated. Ticketmaster is dedicated to combating bots and scalpers who use a practice called "speculative listing" or "speculative tickets" to sell fake tickets by listing tickets for sale they do not have. Fans can be assured of their purchases on the Ticketmaster marketplace because Ticketmaster does not permit non-verified tickets or speculative postings.
How will I receive my tickets on Ticketmaster?
Digital tickets can be accessed through multiple locations: the Bearcats App, the UC Account Manager site, Ticketmaster.com, or the Ticketmaster app. Printed tickets will still be available upon request through the Bearcats Ticket Office.
Can I view my ticketing and UCATS donation history?
UC Athletics and Ticketmaster are making all efforts to retain all ticketing and donation history. Please contact the Ticket Office with questions regarding your ticketing history or UCATS with questions about your donation history.
Will this transition impact my priority point status?
No, this transition will not affect your UCATS giving level or priority point ranking. Please contact the UCATS office for specific questions related to your ranking.
How will this transition impact my stored payment data?
Stored credit card information will not be transferred to your Ticketmaster account. Once you make your first payment on your Ticketmaster account, the credit card information will be stored for future use.
All fans currently on a payment plan for their football or basketball tickets will be contacted with instructions on updating their card information in the new system.
