CINCINNATI - Following the No. 14 University of Cincinnati Bearcats 28-20 "Whiteout" victory over Fresno State today (Sept. 26), the department of athletics and the football program encourage the UC faithful attending next weekend's football game at area-rival Miami University on Saturday, Oct. 3, to continue to show their colors by "Coming Early, Being Loud, and Wearing Black" to the 114th Annual "Battle for the Victory Bell."

Cincinnati fans wanting to purchase the $20 tickets to the game in the UC seating area in Yager Stadium are encouraged to purchase through the UC Athletics Ticket Office by calling 1-877-CATS-TIX Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. or in person at the ticket window in the fourth floor main lobby of the Richard E. Lindner Center.

The Cincinnati-Miami Victory Bell is the oldest non-conference college football rivalry in the United States. UC is 4-0 on the young season, while the RedHawks are looking for their first win of the season heading into its conference match-up at Kent State tonight.

UC has won the past three matchups and four of the last five, including a 45-20 victory last year in Clifton. Quarterback Tony Pike made his first career start for the Bearcats in last season's game and was 20-of-24 passing for 241 yards and three touchdowns vs. the RedHawks.

The two schools have met 113 times on the field with Miami leading the all-time series 59-47-7, including a 14-7-2 mark in Oxford. The first meeting in the series was on Dec. 8, 1888 and was the first collegiate football game played in Ohio.
