NEW YORK CITY - The University of Cincinnati women's indoor track and field team concluded the 2010 New Balance Invitational with several solid performances, including three personal-records, Saturday at the Armory Track in New York City.

Cincinnati had three runners place in the Top 10 of the women's 3,000 meters. Senior Jocelyn McCauley led the way with a PR time of 9:59.98 to finish seventh, while fellow seniors Lilian Jelimo and Tamara Masters crossed the line in eighth and 10th, respectively, with times of 10:01.50 and 10:10.25. McCauley's time moved her into eighth on UC's all-time list.

For the third week in a row, sophomore Jenna Heaton set a PR in the 800 meters to lead UC in the event. Heaton crossed the line in 10th place in a time of 2:14.28, moving her into sixth in UC records books.

In the 4x400 relay, junior Natasha Burse, senior Ashley Arnold, freshman Shanay Portis, and sophomore Aricka Rhodes combined for a seasonal-best time of 3:50.67 to win their heat and place sixth overall.

Finally, senior Jasmine Cotten closed out the meet for UC with a fifth-place leap of 5' 8-1/2".

The men's team is back in action Feb. 12 at the Hoosier Hills Invitational in Bloomington, Ind., while the women's team will have 13 days off before returning to the Armory Track Feb. 20-21 in New York City for the 2010 BIG EAST Indoor Championships.
