CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati men's basketball support staffer Greg Youncofski has been named a 2017-18 Under Armour 30-under-30 honoree by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). Announced Tuesday, the award recognizes up-and-coming young coaches in men's college basketball.
Youncofski serves as the video, analytics and recruiting coordinator for the Bearcats, overseeing team video operations, analytics and advance scouting of opponents. He also assists the staff in the organization and coordination of recruiting databases and recruiting schedules. He joined the program in September 2013 as a program assistant and was promoted to video coordinator for the 2016-17 campaign.
"Greg is a tremendous young coach," UC head coach Mick Cronin said. "He has great basketball acumen, owns a tireless work ethic and has a real passion for the game. We've been fortunate to have him in our program."
Over the past five seasons the Bearcats have compiled a 128-45 mark, won two American Athletic Conference regular-season championships, one AAC tournament title and advanced to five NCAA tournaments.
A 2013 graduate of Kansas, Youncofski is a native of Middletown, N.J.
