TicketsCINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati men's golf team begins its 2021 season Monday, Feb. 8 at the two-day Oldfield Invitational hosted by George Washington in Bluffton, South Carolina.
The 54-hole event features eight teams, including Cincinnati, Stetson, Morehead State, South Carolina-Beaufort, George Washington, Virginia Tech, George Mason and North Alabama.
The event marks the first team competition for the Bearcats since the COVID-19 pandemic abruptly ended the 2020 spring season following play at the Challenge at Concession event on Mar. 10.
The 2021 squad returns all 10 players from a year ago.

"During this pandemic we had an unbelievable commitment from our players, who played in 87 collective events as a group, some 250 rounds of competitive golf with great success across the board," UC head coach Doug Martin said. "It was an opportunity for us as a group to evaluate where we were as a program and where we were as a team and everyone across the board has improved.
"The excitement level is high, having everyone back together working toward the team goals has been a lot of fun so far," Martin. "We all want a season. We're all going to have to make sacrifices to do it. We're going to have ups and downs throughout the year, but how we handle the adversity is going to be the key."
