WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The University of Cincinnati women's golf team completed the first 36 holes of the Boilermaker Spring Classic on Sunday.
Junior Mar Garcia paced the Bearcats with a pair of two-under par (70) rounds. She posted a team-high nine birdies across the first two rounds of the Boilermaker Spring Classic and currently stands in third place heading into Monday's final round. Garcia is aiming for her first career top three finish in collegiate play.
Graduate student Ruby Chou made a significant leap, climbing 40 spots after shooting a two-under par (70) in the second round. She shaved seven strokes off her first-round score and enters the final round tied for 16th place.
Minoo Mousavi (T29), Yu-Wei Chiang (T40) and Lauren Pleiman (T70) followed in order.
UC is tied for third place with a team score of 586 after 36 holes of play. Illinois leads the field with a team score of 577 entering the final round
The final round tees off Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. ET.
