CINCINNATI — The University of Cincinnati women's soccer team (2-5-3) travels to Provo, Utah for a Thursday night matchup against No. 6 BYU (9-1-1).
The match will kick off at 9 p.m. ET from inside South Field and will be streamed on ESPN+ / Big 12 Now. A subscription to the streaming service is required to watch the game. Fans can also follow along with the live stats found here.
// CONFERENCE COMPETITION CONTINUES
The Bearcats are in their inaugural season in the Big 12 since the university joined the conference on July 1. This season, Cincinnati is 1-1-1 in conference play, while BYU enters Sunday's match with a record of 2-0-1.

Thursday's match will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs. BYU is one of six new conference opponents the Bearcats will face for the first time in program history this season.
No. 6 BYU will be the third ranked opponent the Bearcats will match up against this season. Cincinnati is 0-2 against ranked teams this season after falling to then-ranked No. 17 Michigan State (1-0) and No. 22-ranked Pittsburgh (2-1).
The Bearcats' last regular season win over a ranked team was in 2015 when UC defeated No. 18 USF, 1-0. The team also earned overtime victories against No. 10 UConn and No. 25 USF in the 2015 AAC Tournament.
Since 1994, Cincinnati is 5-36-6 against ranked opponents. A win over No. 6 BYU would tie the program record for highest-ranked win. The Bearcats defeated No. 6 Notre Dame 3-2 in the 2001 NCAA Tournament.

Cincinnati shut out Iowa State, 1-0, to earn the program's first Big 12 victory on Sunday inside Gettler Stadium. Senior forward Ellie Flower scored the game-deciding goal on a penalty kick in the 26th minute. The goal was Flower's first of the season and the third of her career.
Senior goalkeeper Anna Rexford only faced two shots on the goal as she claimed her second clean sheet of the season and the 13th shutout of her career, the eighth-most in program history.
The victory was also Rexford's 21st career win, which tied her with former Bearcat Tracy Hale for the sixth-most in program history. The Wilmore, Ky., native's two saves moved her into 10th in all-time career saves as she passed Hale with 170.

BYU enters the matchup after defeating No. 14-ranked Texas, 3-2, on the road.
The Cougars are unbeaten at home this season and hold a record of 4-0-1 at South Field. Earlier this year, BYU was ranked the number one team in the nation and held that ranking for over two weeks before falling to Utah State on Sept. 16. BYU was voted first in the Big 12 preseason poll as well.
The duo of Allie Fryer and Erin Bailey lead the Cougars in goals (6), which also ranks 10th in the Big 12. Kendell Petersen ranks third in the conference with seven assists. BYU is led by head coach Jennifer Rockwood, who is in her 29th season at the helm of the Cougars. She has spent her entire career at BYU and holds a record of 443-127-55.
// THE BEST IN THE BIG 12 AT LIMITING OPPONENET OPPORTUNITIES
Cincinnati leads the Big 12 in opponent-allowed shots (19) and allowed shots on goal (5) through the first three conference games this season. The next best team in the conference at limiting opportunities is Oklahoma who has allowed 27 shots and 14 shots on goal if there first three matches.
The Bearcats have also only allowed one goal in the run of play in the three conference games and are tied for second in the Big 12 in goals allowed goals. The team has only allowed two goals (one was on a penalty kick) in the three games and has yet to have a game where the opposing team reached double-digit shot attempts in conference play.

Graduate student defender Ashley Barron moved into fifth all-time in career minutes played, passing former Bearcat Megan Cravenor with 6,301 minutes played. Earlier this season, she became the seventh Bearcat in program history to record over 6,000 career minutes. She has played the full 90 in eight of the 10 matches this season and has recorded 885 minutes played.

Not only has Barron cracked into the top 10 list in career minutes, but she is fast approaching the top-10 list for career starts. She has started 72 of her 73 career matches.
Rexford continues to climb the UC all-time career top-10 list in three different categories. Sunday's win was the 21st of her career which tied her with former Bearcat Tracy Hale for the sixth-most in program history. The Wilmore, Ky., native is also currently ranked inside the top 10 in shutouts (8th) and saves (10th).
