CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati swimming and diving program collected three Big 12 weekly awards, the league announced on Wednesday.
Joleigh Crye (Swimmer), Will Claus (Diver) and Julie Rose (Newcomer) all received weekly accolades for the Bearcats.
Sophomore Joleigh Crye was named Big 12's Women's Swimmer of the Week following a stellar performance against Miami (OH) this past weekend. She recorded two event wins in the 100-yard butterfly (54.61) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:01.65).
Crye also a member of the first-place 200-yard freestyle relay that secured the team win for Cincinnati.
Junior Will Claus earned his second Big 12 weekly award of the season. Against Miami (OH), Claus won the 1m and 3m dives, scoring 312.45 and 325.50 respectively.
Freshman Julie Rose notched her first conference weekly award following a dominate performance against the Redhawks. She took home first place in the 200-yard breaststroke, recording a time of 2:18.55.
Rose also claimed two second-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle (1:50.49) and 200-yard individual medley (2:02.82).
