CINCINNATI – An exciting challenge awaits for the Cincinnati men's golf team, as its second tournament is its trademark home one, the Bearcat Invitational at Coldstream Country Club.
The two-day event begins Monday, with shotgun starts at 9 a.m. for each one. Admission is open to fans.
Ryan Ford, Connor McNeely, Michael Senn III, Rylan Wotherspoon and Cole Imig will represent the team. For the second-straight weekend, the rest of the roster will compete individually, and that group includes William McDonald, Harry Satterlee, Leo Wessel, Harrison Sims and McKean Collins.
Ford and Senn were the top two finishers at the season-opening Visit Knoxville Collegiate, tying for 21st while the team finished 11th in the high-end field. Senn was competing as an individual and finished with the even-par for the week. McNeely's 67 to close it out was the lowest mark for UC.
Collins and McDonald tied for 12th to lead the individual group that played the EKU Colonel Shootout.
The competing teams are Augusta, BYU, UCF, Chattanooga, Florida Gulf Coast, Furman, Illinois State, Iowa State, Kansas, Kentucky, Little Rock, Louisville, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, UNC Greensboro, Sam Houston and Southern Miss.
UC finished fourth at last year's event (Chattanooga first) and won it in 2022, where Sam Jean also won the individual title. There was none in 2021 due to course renovations.
