CINCINNATI –– The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team cruised by Dayton, sweeping the Flyers 7-0 at the Western Athletic Club on Wednesday.
 
The Bearcats bolted out to a quick lead after claiming the doubles point.
 
Graduate student Zeynep Erman and senior Callie Flanagan dominated court three as they swept their opponent, 6-0. This win improved the duo's overall record to 12-5 and marked their fourth victory in a row. On court two, the sophomore partnership of Morgan Pyrz and Sakurako Watanabe quickly followed, taking down their opponent, 6-1.
 
UC overpowered the Flyers in singles play, capturing all six points.
 
Showcasing her dominance on court one, Erman coasted to a commanding 6-1, 6-0 victory to secure the Bearcats' second point of the match. The momentum continued as sophomore Gabrielle Guenther defeated her opponent on court two, winning 6-0, 6-2. The stellar performances brought both players to double-digit victory totals this season, with Erman reaching her 10th win and Guenther extending her personal winning streak to four consecutive matches.
 
Junior Isabel Pacheco delivered a flawless performance on Court No. 6, as she notched a double bagel victory, 6-0, 6-0. On the other hand, with a 6-1, 6-3 win in the fifth position, Flanagan improved her record to 6-3 and is in the midst of a three-match win streak.

Cincinnati rounds out its season against West Virginia at the Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center on Saturday. First serve against the Mountaineers is set for 1 p.m. ET.
 
The Bearcats will celebrate two graduating student-athletes – Erman and Flanagan – in a special ceremony following Saturday's match against West Virginia.
 
Flanagan concludes her impressive four-year career as a Bearcat. The Overland, Kansas native amassed 23 singles victories and 30 doubles wins while representing the red and black.
 
Erman transferred into the program last season after spending four years at Syracuse University and has quickly made a mark during her time at UC. The Istanbul, Turkey native has spearheaded the Bearcats all season long, anchoring court one. Erman owns a 10-5 record in singles and an 12-5 record in doubles.
