- Three-year starter who provided leadership by performance as well as spirit.
- Debuted as a sophomore (freshmen were ineligible) in 1970-71 and led UC in scoring (17.9 points) and rebounding (12.1 rebounds).
- Repeated as rebounding leader his junior (10.9) and senior (10.0) years and was second in scoring (18.1, 15.0) in each of those seasons.
- Averaged a double-double 17.0 points and 11.0 rebounds for his career while helping UC to a 48-30 record.
- Team MVP as a sophomore.
- Team captain his junior and senior seasons.
- Selected in the second round of the 1973 NBA Draft by Golden State and played in the NBA for five seasons.
- Launched his broadcasting career as analyst on the UC basketball telecasts and later moved on to ESPN and the NBA.
- UC Athletic Hall of Fame 1988.
